Upcoming travel dates and locations

A student does not have to travel with the team to be considered a team member. Traveling to the competitions is a privilege earned through hard work and commitment to the team.
There is a minimum amount of volunteer hours required to travel with the team, as well as paperwork that must be submitted by the deadline for each trip.
-
Mentors, volunteers and parents/guardians who have completed training and a background check.
-
For overnight events the students and mentors/volunteers tend to go to the event at least 1 day prior.
If flying, this will be extended trip to allow for travel to/from the event.
Check the upcoming travel information on this page for more details.

Travel fees will vary based on the location of the event. Travel fees cover all transportation, lodging, and meals during the event.
Scholarships are available for students who qualify for free or reduced lunch, or by request through a mentor. Funds are available to assist families in need and provided by the team. Any request for assistance will be held in confidence.
We can also offer payment plans should you need it. The due date for the travel fees will be communicated at least 2 weeks before each event.
Should the team schedule two events and the student is only attending one event, only one travel fee is due. All travel fees must be submitted with a signed permission form or itinerary contract. Individual checks and forms must be submitted for each trip that the student plans to attend.

Yes, the food coordinator handles all meals and snacks. We just need to know if your student has any allergies or dietary restrictions so we can accommodate them.

We find hotels near the event! The students do share rooms/beds with other students of same gender identity and ages. Some students share rooms but opt to bring their own sleeping bags.
Prior to travel, team members sign up for a spot in rooms reserved by the travel coordinator. By signing up they are committing to attending and following all travel policies.
Members are limited to four people per room and will not share a room with any adult not directly related to them. Female chaperones will be responsible for room checks for female team members, and male chaperones will be responsible for room checks with male team members.
Students who are dating/in relationships may not stay in the same room unless married.
Students may stay with a parent/family member if they are traveling with team. A fee is involved for anyone traveling with the team.
